I Painted, Fixed there shower curtain, painted the stool. Soon after that i was off taking pictures for a family, so i didn't get it finished.  So today was the day to finish this project!

I used old wood from another Pallet to make the towel bar.  So i was pretty proud of myself,  I got all the hooks attached and the whole thing attached to the wall by my self.  Anyway  This was  a great project.

Here is the after... (excuse the boy in his undies but on any given day that's how you would find him.)

Under the stairs.

Saturday, August 27, 2011

Under my mom's stairs she has a little play place for the kids that she's wanted to dress up a bit.  She came across a post on someones blog.  They had drywalled the door and did a small door in the bottom.  It was super cute so we took that idea and adapted it to mom's house.  We didn't want to do something as permanent as dry wall,  but we wanted the same kind of look.  This is what it ended up as......

Brad Used a piece of plywood,  Cut out the door hole.  He took apart old pallets for the wood so it kind  of looks like barn wood.  and then all he needed was the hinges,  paint and door handle.

This is what it started out as.....

Birthday's Galore....

So our summer is always filled with birthday's.  We've got Knox's which is the 14th of July,  Paris 29th of July,  Mine is the 13th of august and Blazers is the 14th of august.

So with that being said Paris usually gets ripped off on her birthday.  I'm not a big party thrower at all.  But this year was a very special year it was her 8th birthday,  So this year i promised her a big bash (she was aloud to invited 5 Friends and 2 cousins,  Huge i know Hehe).

Anyway i gave her a couple options for Party themes,  She decided on a baking one.  So we decided on Making little simple simple apron,  with Bakers hat's.  I had been down to Jo-anns fabrics the previous week so i picked up some cute pink fabric for not to  much.  I got the seam binding up here at Marshalls (they have lots of fun colors).  And i got to work.

This was one of the easiest Projects, to do.  I took me one morning and part of a afternoon to finish all 8 up.  easy peasy. Oh and i used my Handy Dandy Sillhouette sd Machine and used the iron on heat transfer and did there names. I love my Handy Dandy Machine!

So for the activity they colored some heart boxes My mom had picked up at Ikea for super cheap, they colored them and put pretty tissue in them for there cakeballs to go home in.  Then, when they were finished that we dipped cake balls.

Photobucket

I did some prep for the cake balls cause i know how 7-8 year olds are with crafts cooking yikes.
So i did all the prep work with the molds and cake ect.  (This is the how to on cupcake cake balls. So So easy)

So that pretty much took all the time,  then we ate cupcakes and opened Presents and that was it.  Paris had a great time and claims that was her best party ever (she did not have much to compare to).  So for there take home treat they got the aprons,  hat's, a cute little bubble icecream cone (i picked up a target 3 for $2) and a jar of sprinkles that i picked up for $1.50 at the doller store.  Awsome!!
